The Solent Branch are organising a campover at our meeting place, The Bold Forester, near Marchwood in the New Forest. This is to take place overnight on Saturday 21st/ Sunday 22nd. July. The basic theme is to accomodate anyone who fancies going to the Ladies Day at Sammy Millers on the Saturday, combined with the Italian Day on the Sunday. We have agreed with the pub landlord to use an adjacent field for camping over Saturday night and the exclusive use of the skittle alley for entertainment. Points to note, we get free use of the skittle alley as the event is being used to support the Hampshire Autistic Society, a £5 donation from campers would be appreciated, we will also be running a raffle to support this worthy cause so any prize donations would be welcome. Furthermore, the pub is running a music festival over this weekend so entertainment is guaranteed although the car park will be jammed full. Bike parking will be on the field. The field for camping is a bit rough, some sedge grass and a couple of friendly ponies, so well worth putting up the tent in daylight! The Solent Dome will be there for getting together and the pub will keep a toilet open overnight. Definitely not a Glamping site.
