LOL not jealous, still have Black Betty in the garage. although it is going up for sale soon. There's always a bike to tempt you. I was even looking at a rather nice ZXR400.   Although it would cripple my knees which is the reason the Triumph is going.

Just got some stuff from HG to clean the headers, worked a treat on the headers of the Triumph which had not been cleaned for in 7 years.

Will post some pics later.

...(Hmm i really must get round to re-packing the baffle in my trusty ear trumpet).... Ahhh yes, the Maas wonder polish.

Well, it took about fourteen days to arrive from 'Ampshire and i even had to chase the order by telephone to see if there was a delivery problem.

So. Having read the oodles of small print on the tube and in the accompanying blurb leaflet, i gave the offending patches at the top of the headers a generous application and stood back as it worked it's magic.

....It didn't...Albeit after buffing it up with a calico mop in a battery drill, the pipes were shining like new chrome but it hadn't made much impression on the heat spotting, so it's just a (more expensive) medium to apply the required elbow grease to achieve the same nett result.

I then reverted to 'method A' where a blob of the cream is applied to one of those green woven plastic scouring pads from the kitchen, and using a small circular polishing motion, the heat spots polish out to a slight hazey finish.

Final buffing up with the polishing mop gave the exact same results as i achieved with a few of the other well known brands of metal polish.

Not that i was in a 'polishing frenzy'...i then attacked the bathroom where the broide had been having a devil of a job removing residual glue and tape traces from the new bogg cistern (porcelain) the bath (acrylic) and the w.h.b. (china)....Fan-bloody-tastic! they were gleaming in a jiffy, but the brownie points vanished in a flash when the Boss discovered the (by now) completely knacked scourer had been reinstalled in the kitchen sink tidy (loike) Tsk. Well, not for the bathroom cleaning tonna, where we do infact use CIF's Fizzy Lemon spray under normal circumstances.

I had to pack up using Radox in the jaccuzi as the whole room gets engulfed in a thick creamy foam within a few moments of firing up the air pump.

Now, a few shots of CIF fizzy lemon applied to those parts requiring 'that lil' extra' attentoin prior to slipping into the boiling 1.5Kw maelstom, and within a few revolutions, we are as fresh as a mountain stream with a heady citrus aroma emanating from the recently treated bodily bits 'n bob's, and i can actually find the door to boot!

Only around 4 quid too! But the case for Kromakote ceramic pipes is becoming stronger by the day! Thumbs%20Up

The product is optiglanz from HG:

optiglanz

WARNING
Try at your own risk:
This stiff is very acidic, wear gloves.
Do not get on allluminium or chrome.
LEAVE ON FOR A MAX OF 3 MINUTES THEN RINSE OFF WITH PLENTY OF WATER.

I got an old bin liner and covered the engine up so as not to spray the stuff everywhere.

The sprayed the stuff on and worked it in with one of those green pot scourer.
3 minutes later washed the stuff off.
Dried off and light rub over with some wire wool.
The finish, i do not know whether it was originally shiny like the silencer.

Not tried on the Bellagio pipes yet.

I will take a pic in the sunlight.

Big%20smile....Donna fret Ol' J... i hear ya. Wink

Don't forget that 'some' fingers  like that patina of use to support the constant dedication input, while the rest of us just get by surviving and enjoying the 'odd' tastes of freedom.

....I must say that i was slightly disappointed too, having read that it was used by N.A.S.A. to polish the space capsules, and give them that extra'zing' as they broke out of the stratosphere.

So.... "Sa bagga = (crock o' ) sheetmon".... @ 14 quid a tube, and it's not acid based and marketed by a similar team who wrote that (so embarrasing) 'gusher' that heralded the Bellagio for '07.

Ahhh, Rowan Williams has stepped down...Fk the earl grey vicar, let's break out the Morgans Navy rum and party!

( For Lairdy particularly)....Grand slam in the bag! Big%20smile

Three matches end-on-end + 2/3rds through and just up for air outta the fugg.

....What has this got to  do with Moto Guzzi?

Well, if you ride a Bellagio, you can relax and enjoy other aspects of loife because (you lucky people) have chosen the best means of fulfilling your motorcycling needs and to come on here to meet really interesting and groovy persona's to enhance your very being.

The bike is fabbs-ville, it runs like a Rolex, luckily, i have 40+ years of saddle tiome under my belt to help keep 'shiney-side-up' ....

I don't always succeed...= Pain Hurts.

The more i read as the thread exp[ands of Ex Sm B's post, i despair at the current downward motion of the input.

Of course i empathise with his condition, but the mind boggles at hanging unwashed skiddies on the line and holding them thus to public scrutiny.

....Is this perhaps a part of the  behavioural condition he writes of?

Bemused of Bicester.

Getting my bike MOT'd Saturday a bloke asked to hold his helmet while he parked his bike up.
Had a verry professional Help for Heros paint job on it.
You ex mate I asked?
No it's for my son who was killed out there 2 years ago.

The cunning plan for today.
Go and pick nobby up by changing the forks, and ride him back.
Well it went like this.
Fetched the forks off.that took all of ten minutes.
Do you think i could have them straightened.

Only joking the tubes are scrap. The lowers and internals are fine.

Ok stuck the new forks in the bottom yolk, and there is a 20mm misalignment to the top yolk.
i could get one fork in but not the other.
After Fracking about for a bit i took the yokes off.
Top yoke was fine.
Bottom yoke the centre tube was bent.

The tube as you can see had kinked,New bottom yolk required now.
Having that tube in saved the frame.

Right the other thing i found,The bottom bearing has a plastic cover on it which collects water nicely.
And fills the bearing nicely with water.Take some side cutters and cut a notch into it to let the water out.
Or rusty bearings

The pics are in bikes for sale. I don't fetch it till the 5th April. Flying to Gatwick and riding back.

There could be a few little mods, but nothing that isn't reversible.
I would like a single seat like the one on the T3 in the video thread, which would require new rear light. The Spada screen will go - and the clocks..................
