Lovely day for a bike ride, sunny warm, alot of traffic but there are quiet roads, I can almost smell the flowers from here in the MCR in the bowls of the ship. Wicked imagination I've got :)
Hope some of you have been for a blast.
Smile it can only get worse, I smiled and it did.

Had to work the bank holiday, but today i have a day in lieu so the Bella is all fettled up and ready to go as we speak, to take advantage of the rays and take the broide out for a spin as my trusty rider support and navigational accessory.

..Saying that, i have disabled the helmet to helmet intercom by removing the mic.s so it's back to kidney punches to communicate rider error messages from here on in.

Wahhh, magicola ride. Not long back in and nursing a cool pint of zoider in the late afternoon sun. 'Petal-o-mio' has gone for a lie down in a darkened room, as it was her first outing this year and Sq bum / jelly legs et al has conspired to rob me of her deloitte-full company for an hour or so....

First stop. Excellent all day brekky on the lawn at the newly refurbished 'Wheelhouse' restaurant'n bar in the courtyard of Upton on Severn marina. The gateway to Herfs and the taffy marches and some spectacular riding roads / scenery that represents my main stampin' ground.

That was done with no heart stoppers or much insecto-mash, but my visor chucked a side clip and then was torn in half and lost due to wind pressure when i turned my swede slightly to the right to admire a vast carpet of bluebells in the wooded slopes of the back of the Malverns on our way into Hrfs.

ok that's me and that first one never touched the sides so cin chin chillun L8R

You lucky so and sos! I haven't managed a ride this year yet. I am full out in the workshop making for open studios. It really hurts watching the bikes go past on their way to the Lizard, when you're stuck inside making pots and testing glazes. It had better be worth it!

'J' , 'J'....Mang, you donna know the half of it! Fo' Sho' it's worth it!
Without the mavericks 'n renegades, liofe would be monochrome or fuzzy grey....Awww, you know what it's like, take a quick look around?

I could tell you a story right now, but due to policies above our control, it has to be diluted or watered down beyond even the 'bache' formulation, where it would then appear as the normal 'BB' mumbo jumbo.

What you have to do my potty chum, is to un-dintingly and un-stintingly hold your course like the ol' mariner lashed to the wheel in a ferocious storm.

If i was Josia Wedgewood and you come grizzlin' to me loike that, i'd pull yo' plaits and steal your mars bar and then throw you some clay and tell you to have another go at making a foine piece of choina..err me ol' choina that would be fit to grace the table of
a koenig.

That's what i do John. I am also bi-ligual in bllx and rationale, but i'm balls out honest and ethical, hence the angels use my poop for toothpaste, so i donna lose no kip over ripples in the pond.

Stick with your resolve chap. you'll get your chance, and be it Bella or Convert, savour the moment and clear your mind.

Mmmm...I don’t suppose any Bellagio owners could take a wild guess at what the going rate for this machine should be? He turned down £3650. 1666 miles, 4 years old, dropped at low speed, but only minor damage. Or so he says

I would think at current prices 5k to 5.5k
Seeing how a bellagio engine went for 2.5k on a breaker
The damage is minor so i would not worry.

Now sold,Its gone

Mine came on today, but it hadn't tripped the countdown mileometer and i think it was the last few dregs sloshing around that bought it on.

£19 quidley of new Shell hyper phutooie jet X 13, and it was brimmin' and usually last's about one ride as long as there are no eastern euro's lurking around with means of extracting said top-up.

Hey tonna, while we are on and the Heine Gericke shop has recently become a Kareoke bar, any tips on a reputable supply source for a Nolan full face clear visor and side locks?

Pleased to hear some of the Bella's have been out.
Next week I will take Bella for her first MOT then I'm off.
Jmee, You'll have to take a KitKat sometime. When your tired 40 mins snooooze makes all the difference, same with the bike, even a quick blast re-invigorates things like nothing else.
Hope for a run to the Marches this time and will post here, maybe a coffee that way??

Bugger, these Bellagios go fast. Thanks for the advice. The only comparison I had was one of the same age but higher mileage that Moto Strada wanted 5.7k for late last year. I went there & it looked v nice, but I wasn't ready to buy, which now looks like a mistake: it's long gone

Want on my Cossack fiend! j/k Ivan.
Your's is not a lost venture, and with a little nudge in my wallet for probably the most amazing MG confection on the planet, that was created by bit's that fell off the MSG01 during testing.. ( so rumour has it)... You could be it's eventual slave as i return to a more sedate and lady cosseting swan song to carry on doing what i do but possibly on a different bolide to provide this in our dotage. (?)

Well, back to the Fray (Bentos) El Tonna..Sound's like a cinch don't it! But I have found the place after multiple fruitless searches. And anyone who has Nolan N com 43's and needs replacement visors and knick-nacks, i'm not going to butter your toast and feed you like a babby, but it's Jim Allen Motorcycles' in Falkirk (over-the-border)and the most polite and courteous interchange was had with the man, with the desired results being delivered by cuoriour within the next 24hrs-or-so.

You Tonna Tony... (finger pointy) Must do a re-take on this place wi' me + Bel on the 'next' sunny Sunday! Crackin' mon ...(put your broide on the back..she'll love the place)

I like to monitor the prices on e -blag,Its a bit of a hobby being a tight fisted git.
With the current prices being what they are,i think if i put mine back to standard,i would see 5 k for it
Even as a class C
When i see stuff like this selling
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTO-GUZZI-CALIFORNIA-SPECIAL-SPORT-ALUMINIUM-LTD-EDITION-2003-/161018898292?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item257d796774#ht_646wt_1141
For a 10 year old bike.
My bike is worth more than that.

When i was in Wales,i was having a bit of fun with a couple of lads on sports bikes,
Keeping up with them on the twistys and on overtakes.
Just a little bit fun with them thinking whats that bike behind doing.
When i filtered through the traffic. To get behind them close.
The one rider had a Black Shirt on that said.

? We ride, they ride. I sometimes nod and so on to federali's going in the opposite direction. (have you ever tried that chillun?) Aww, go on! ...

9 out of 10 cat's that ever tried this recipe, report back that they were not subsequently subject to a long lecture, just a return nod/wave and another top up of doc martins 'wet nose' formula to guide them on the way!

When i speak about caning a 75 bhp bike for lightweight interactive fun, ffs don't get fogged into thinking that you could outpace a modern 600 on it. But it is possible due to the fact there are other factors in play other than they are ten-a-penny expendables

You are absolutely right Tone. So many people I see when out and about can not do bends. I know an ex motorcycle policeman who lives around the corner from me and I asked him how he caught large sports bikes with the a fully loaded Pan and his response was on the bends!

The Bella does handle extremely well on the bends especially as it is not easy to shift your weight from one side to another! Still trying to get rid of those elephants on the tyre but look like they are staying!

Fitted the Z8 R. - Z6 inter F. just over 3000 miles ago and they are nice and evenly worn and scrubbed down to about a 1/4 inch from 'jumbo's trunk'
No early 'white lining' feel yet, so should be good for another 3k which will coincide with the next service...might be pushing it there tho', as i find these triple compound types may be hard wearing for the centre but they do go off around 5000-ish. Also to speed up the turns it's handy to conciously nudge in a bit of countersteer on these, and she then drops in a treat without to much saddle acrobatics.

Steering circle is a bit of an ''Exxon Valdez" event that's a fact, and usually requires a three point turn in the back lanes, but there you go, it's a Bella.

the slow speed turning of the Bella is something of an art given that it has 2 piston high up coming out each side so it has a high centre of gravity. Coupled with Bella fighting in the heavy weight class!

For me the key is to keep the momentum up using the throttle clutch and rear brake only. keep your hands off the front brake!

As for tyres now this is an interesting one as i do find the tyres have squared off if you rub your hands over them. tyre pressures make a lot of difference to this bike normally telling when you countersteer and have to put a bit more effort into it.

As mentioned before thinking of either going with a new z8 on the front or a road pilot (which I have on the Triumph but has not sqaured off as much as the Z6). both seem to have good reviews and thier is little difference in the price.

dave you are lucky if you can do a 3 point turn as I can not get my feet down enough to push the old girl backwards!

@ your last para Rob. It's so true!
With the fully laden big Bim, it was like having a work out in the gym to paddle that backwards on just the balls of my feet..Crikey! not only pit bull neck muscles from 'nekkid' riding against wind blast, but also thigh muscles that resemble a pair of discarded (off white) johdpurs... (well, sorta)

The rest, "i agree totally" (ala Mr. Dunmore in a better frame of mind... )

So. For me it will be Z8F Z8R at 36psi and 38psi respectively. No steering damper required, and voted the best wet weather mix you can grace yo' blade with.

....I say! Any one for tennis? Or shall we do oil next or a bit more mumbo jumb0
