I think I can see the Isle of Grain chimney very faintly on the LH horizon, which would make it looking south from the Southend area, though it could be from Canvey Island too.

Sounds good. I have never been there, but googled armee de l'air Jaguar at Chateau and it came up.

It works but you should change the name of the photo before uploading. It's too easy to google where a certain famous Lawrence is buried.
The legend says he crashed because the Brough superior SS100 had sh&te brakes.

I was cursing as my mate had blocked the view of the Guzzi in the shot. I took the shot anyway and in the split second before I snapped, the wind sorted things for me. LOL
 
No harm done, just a scratched crash bar and dent pride.

I did realise but was too lazy to change the photo name and hoped you lot would not notice.
