Events and Outings
Rallies and Camping Weekends
The
Moto Guzzi Club GB arranges a number of rallies and camping weekends
throughout the year.
A lot of our long standing members use these organised events
to meet old friends and make new ones. It is a chance to relax,
admire each others motorbikes no matter what age or state and
share experiences and hints and tips in a friendly and welcoming
atmosphere. These events usually take place over a weekend, which
gives you a chance to see any local places of interest and in
the evening sit together over a drink and catch up on news and
share your Guzzi or travel stories.
We also welcome partners and children as well as non Guzzi riding
friends and do not insist that you arrive with your motorcycle.
If you have trouble packing your children and/or two dogs into
your panniers or sidecar, simply choose a more suitable mode of
transport. Please note that the majority of these events are pre
book only, so that we can arrange for adequate provision of amenities,
please check the requirements and details before planning your
trip.
Click here for a list of events
for this year (as known at this point in time).
Continental Visits
These
vary from Club organised events, such as the resurrected International
Rally, to trips by individual members, who welcome company on
their travels abroad. For example every year a group of members
tend to join an annual trip to Italy and visit the birth place
of their Guzzi's, the Moto Guzzi factory in Mandello del Lario.
Another example is our ex Social Secretary (he is still very social)
annual Irish Get-together, where Guzzi riders meet up to enjoy
the Irish hospitality and the odd Guiness or two.
More are likely to follow, so keep reviewing the news and events
pages.
Organised Day Runs
Are
you good at getting lost or simply fed up of going places all
on your own?
Then why not join an organised day run somewhere near you.
Most of our branches organise more or less regular day runs during
the year and you are invited to join other branch members on these
events.

Voluntary Rescue Register
The
Moto Guzzi Club GB produces a list of members who are willing
to assist others in times of need.
Wether the reason is that your bike has one it's moments and you
just need a cup of tea and a friendly face or you had an accident
or say your clutch cable broke and can't take your bike to it's
planned destination the members on the list are willing to help
if it's within their power.
The list gives details of what members can offer, which ranges
from general hospitality to transport for your bike, depending
on the circumstances of each volunteer, as not everyone is able
and equipped to deal with every circumstance.
To use this service simply log into the members only area and
follow the rescue register link in the features section. You might
want to print this (or relvant sections of it) and take it with
you on your rides.
