1993 Moto Guzzi Tonti 850 T5. This is an ex-Carabinieri bike which as standard was fitted with 18" wheels front and rear, a sump extension and 40mm Bitubo forks adjustable for preload and damping.
Unusually for the time it's factory fitted with points ignition which was specified by the Italian police. The police bikes also have the long California-type sidestand.
I've replaced the plastic mudguards with Guzzi original T4 rear and T3 front stainless items and custom stainless stays.
The bike came with a rather brutally ugly full fairing and at the moment the lowers are removed as you couldn't see the engine and the intention was to fully remove the upper section and convert it to a naked bike, at the same time correcting the bizarre angle at which the badges were fitted at the factory.
Original robust steel panniers with working locks and heavily-built crashbars front and rear.
Rear shocks are Koni dial-a-rides in good condition and there's also a new set of seals for future rebuilds if ever needed.
Speedo is in Km, but also fitted with a Nano SPD speedo/trip computer which works really well. New Facet points and condensers and brand new starter motor (original suffered from the Valeo problem with broken magnets), new plug leads and caps plus oil and filter change a few miles ago.
MOT'd to 6th September 2025. 36,701 miles/58,722 Km. Part of the MOT history is recorded as miles instead of Km but corrected for the latest MOTs. Some history and a few service items and parts including a good pair of side panels and 1/2 litre of accurately matched cellulose paint.
