£4,750.00 Selling
This is the late Steve Freeman's 1977 Moto Guzzi California offered for sale on behalf of his wife. Steve was the second owner, having bought the bike in 1980 and it's one of the original cancelled-order LAPD bikes imported by Mick Walker. Steve decided some years ago to do a cosmetic rebuild of the bike due to the paintwork looking tired - particularly the frame and swing arm. This turned into a much longer project than he intended as other Guzzi distractions (particularly club related) and family life took up his time. Considerable work has already been undertaken, but apart from the basic rolling chassis the mudguards, tank, panniers, exhaust and seat are temporarily assembled for the purpose of sale. The bike was fully rewired and running prior to disassembly.
Work already undertaken includes:
Wheels rebuilt with stainless spokes and new tyres
New stainless brake hoses, pads and front disks
Powder coated frame and swingarm
Powder coated mudguards
New CEV front indicators
Included in the sale are the K&N air filters, new cables, spare parts and miscellaneous items to assist in completing the bike.
The bike is located in North Staffordshire.
