1981 Moto Guzzi Le Mans Mk2 25000 miles

£5,750.00 Selling

This is a great bike to ride - and own! It combines the seductive tones of Lafraconi exhausts, excellent handling and Jota bars for comfort. I've done a couple of European tours this year and she's returned an excellent high 50's mpg. No oil drips on the floor, either.

She's a pretty-much standard bike from 1980 with a few enhancements - an easy to use sidestand, Jota bars, heated grips, fork inserts.  She has linked brakes and the upgraded rear caliper (twin-bleed). All the electrics work as standard, but has a relay for the headlamp. A large battery precludes a tool tray; the seat has its latch and prop as standard. She has a recent pair of 36mm Dellortos. There's a pair of throw-overs to go with her (I had a couple of rails made to pin them to).

The paintwork was restored some time ago by Shropshire Classic Sprayers and she has grown a level of refined patina - some marks in places but overall the look of a bike that has been very well looked after and enjoyed. The frame has been powder-coated and that is looking really good.

I my ownership I've kept her serviced, replaced the clutch operating rod seal, fitted the heated grips, tidied the electrics, put 2 new condensers in (one failed in France, lucky I was carrying spares) had the silencers Cerakoted and put 2 new choke cables on.  The Koni Dial-a-Rides have been rebuilt with new seals and fluid. I've also thoroughly enjoyed owning and riding her.  But time to move on.
