Very reluctantly selling my pride and joy. This is a rare and beautifully maintained Stornello, number 450, with 12,100 miles.
Performance: Professionally remapped by Dave Wood Racing (£400) – smooth, powerful, and a real joy to ride. Supplied with the original Arrow exhaust, which delivers a beautiful, characterful sound.
Suspension & Handling: Forks rebuilt with new seals, Oram preload caps, and fresh oil. Handles brilliantly. (£350)
Brakes: Upgraded with EBC sintered pads for strong, reliable stopping power. Front brake reservoir cap replaced with the newer version to prevent brake fluid seepage.
Comfort & Touring: Fitted with Oxford HotGrips Pro (MSRP £199) and a Kaoko throttle lock – perfect for long rides. Comes with the original luggage rack and the original USB connection for added practicality.
Condition: Plenty of tread left on the tyres, full service history, and very well cared for.
Upgrades & Reliability Improvements:
New K&N filter and Motoptional air filter ring.
Titanium valve cover bolts.
Rubber bellows at the back of the injector connectors and temperature sensors replaced – no cracked or brittle rubbers to worry about.
Tank cap drain unclogged, preventing water ingress into the tank (a common issue that can ruin pump and injectors).
Fuel filter upgraded to the full-metal version (far more durable than the original half-plastic one that can fail).
This bike has even made the pilgrimage to the red gate at Mandello del Lario – a true Moto Guzzi enthusiast’s machine.
