BMW R1150GS Adventure

BMW R1150GS R1150GSA Adventure in Titan Silver. 

The classic adventure bike and one that's rapidly finding favour with a whole new demographic as folk like Adam Reimann and KRANKiT, and Chris from Bike World discover its timeless charms.

MCN said it "changed Britain" in an article in September 2025, named it their Bike of the Era, and said of it in November 2014: "The BMW R1150GS Adventure is the ultimate round-the-world, do it all motorcycle – as Ewan MacGregor and Charley Boorman proved in their ‘Long Way Round’ motorcycle adventure. The BMW R1150GS Adventure is a jacked up, kitted out, heavy duty version of the already excellent BMW R1150GS and is the Hummer of the motorcycle world. Awesome in every way…"  Bennett's called it: "The BMW R1150GS is the best of the ‘old-school’ GS models", while Visordown said: "It’s a superb every day road bike as well as a pukka overland tool", going on to write: "What goes wrong? Very, very little considering the number of bikes and the colossal miles they’ve covered."  

And this example is a good 'un with little over 50,000 miles on the clock, an advisory-free MoT until August next year, and a largely main dealer service history, all of which has been lovingly recorded in its huge history file .   

It also benefits from a sprinkling of farkles including a Secdem touring windscreen, Migsel RAM mount for sat-nav/phone, an SW Motech tank ring, a headlamp protector, various Wunderlich and Touratech bits and bobs, a de-cat exhaust with the O/E silencer, Datatag, and its factory panniers.  

It is also still fitted with its original numberplate and matching dealer keyring from Cannon BMW, the people who sold it new. 

I fitted new Dunlop Trailmax Raid tyres last year plus oil and filter change and new rear pads. 

The ABS system works perfectly, and it starts and runs well. (The PO rode it to me from the south of England, a 600-mile journey it completed flawlessly.)
