I put this bike back on the road when I bought it last May (2025), after it had spent a few years in storage. I’ve done about 4000km on it since then and I really like it, as it is comfortable for me, and fast. I’d always wanted a Laverda, and as I can’t bend myself enough to ride my Guzzi Le Mans anymore the RGS1000 is a great alternative.

The RGS1000 is the successor to the 120° Jota, with the half fairing incorporating the fuel filler.  This means you don’t have to take the tank bag off when filling up- it works! 

It has been very reliable, and is in good condition all round, but not concours. 

However, it was meant to be my 2-up bike, but it’s not comfortable for my wife on pillion with throwover panniers.  So I am sadly advertising it and will look for a more touring – oriented bike, like a big Guzzi trailie or tourer.  Would consider a part exchange.
