£2,200.00 Selling
I bought this a year ago when looking for a V50 , however it has sat for a while and my plans have changed. Description by previous owner
I bought this in 2016 as a project. Since then, I have taken the engine apart and sandblasted the cases.
The valves were Lapped in and the heads inlet and outlet ports Heli coiled M4 to suit the studs. When the engine was dismantled it was photographed by Mick Duckworth and featured in his article in Classic Bike magazine. See picture. The engine was rebuilt with new seals and gaskets. It has new points, condensers, Lucas coils, HT leads and spark plugs. All fluids and filters have been replaced. A Land Rover Airbreather was installed to replace the original setup, the carburettors already had Filters fitted. The brakes have been rebuilt with new seals. The silencers are new. The forks have had the internal bellows replaced with solid items and new fluid added The steering hub has been checked with all ball bearings in place and new grease applied. The tyres are brand new Avon Roadriders. The bike now runs and stops as it should and is a joy to ride and puts a smile on your face. To aid putting it on the centre stand I have made a removable handle which can be seen in the pictures. The bike also comes with an original seat in the correct fabric and Le Mans style side panels, see the picture of the bike above. These will need painting to match the bike. The only thing missing is new paintwork and decals as the original paint is looking tired as you can see on the photos. Lots of pics taken of engine rebuild.
